The cotton flour sack measures 38” X 21” (when folded in half, because this sack is still an intact sack. Overall, the sack is in great condition! The background is off white muslin. The advertising print is still bold in black and red. Wear as expected for vintage sack, with only one tiny slit to be mentioned. This is in great shape for its age. History: Historical context: The Schumacher name comes from Ferdinand Schumacher, a German immigrant who, in the 1850s, became a major miller of oats in Akron, Ohio. His company, F. Schumacher Milling Co., later merged with others to form the American Cereal Co. in 1891, which was then renamed the Quaker Oats Company in 1901.
