Lost and found again, textiles!
Whippoorwill Quilts was born in December 2018, from a love of old things and the stories they carry! We search for vintage quilts, feed sacks, fabrics, quilt tops and collectible textiles—pieces that have already lived a life and deserve to keep being loved…
And they are getting harder and harder to find.
We think of ourselves as more than collectors or sellers. We’re stewards of these old textile collections — finding them, saving them, learning their stories when we can, and helping them find their way into the hands of the next person who will appreciate them.

We are so happy you found our quilt shop! We sell genuine, handmade vintage & antique quilts, as well as collective textiles. We find these vintage and antique collectibles all over the country, clean & process each quilt, top, or feed/flour sack, and list them for you every week. Restocks are announced on Instagram and Facebook as soon as we know the restock date. Every quilt & textile leaves our shop ready to use and enjoy. Vintage Friendship Flower Quilt TOP
Dimensions: 51” x 83“
Make: Hand Appliqued & Hand Embroidered.
Condition: 5 Stars
Details: This quilt top is bold and is made of all cottons. The flower blocks measure 17” across and there are 15 of them. The background is off white, with one block having a stark-white background, it is also the only block with no name. The blocks have solid-colored yellow centers, and printed cotton petals. At the centers of the blocks are names like “Hilda, Catherine, Hattie, and Bertha”. There are no tears or seam pops. We also found no stains!
This top has not been washed or spot treated. It is not recommended to wash tops until they are completed quilts. Please see all pictures before buying! Photos are considered part of the description.
Vintage Blue and White "Embroidered Stories" Quilt
Make: Hand Quilted & Hand Pieced & Hand Embroidered
Dimensions: 58” x 72”
SPI: 9 to 10
Condition: 4.5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! The background of the quilt is white. The sashing and embroidery thread are cornflower blue. The binding matches the blue fabrics. This is an all-cotton quilt. There are 30 8” blocks, all expertly hand embroidered by “Mary Keller”. It is signed in the bottom right corner, and outline of her hand is embroidered too — and it lists that she is “age 10 years” old. AMAZING!!! The are no holes, tears, or seam pops. There is some spotting on the front and the back — untreated. These spots/stains are the only reason for the lower rating — this is a phenomenal quilt. The majority of the spots are on the back of the quilt. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.

Vintage Poly-Blend "Shoo Fly" Youth Quilt
Make: Hand Quilted & Hand Pieced
Dimensions: 43” x 59”
SPI: 3 to 4
Condition: 5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! It does have some added loft people of the polyester blend fabrics. The blocks measure 10.5” wide and there are 12 total blocks. The colors on the front are mainly green and blues, with the blue being the sashing fabric color. The back fabric is purple, taken around to the front to create the binding. There are no holes, tears, or seam pops. We also found no stains.

Vintage "Raggedy Ann and Andy" Toddler Quilt

Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! There is a wide, light yellow frame on all 4 sides. The center of the quilt is an adorable Raggedy Ann and Andy “harvesting”. The back of the quilt is matching light yellow. There are no holes, tears, or seam pops. There is one petite spot in the yellow frame. Untreated.

SPI: 8 to 9, on a 1” scale — there is TONS of quilting!!!

Cutter quilts have flaws and issues throughout. They are meant to be used for projects, etc.
Vintage Feed Sack 9 Patch with Novelty Prints, Quilt
Make: Machine Pieced & Machine Quilted, Grid Lines

Condition: 5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! There is very thin batting. The machine quilting is sparse, and keeps it all together, but it feels more like a coverlet due to the minimal quilting. The back fabric is navy blue cotton. The edge is “knives” edge and there is no traditional binding. The two pieces of fabric are sandwiched together and finished simply. There are no holes or tears. And there is only one seam pop. There are no stains.

Vintage Feed Sack "Southern Lady" Quilt

SPI: 13 — WOW!! That is amazing!!
Condition: 5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! The background of the quilt is white. There are 16 “southern lady blocks”. The ladies all have printed and solid cottons, with black embroidery thread for the details. The light blue binding matches a handful of the cotton prints. The back fabric is matching white. There are no holes, tears, or seam pops. We also found no stains. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.

Vintage Feed Sack, Hunter Green Lightning Bolt Quilt TOP
Dimensions: 61” x 79”
Make: Hand Pieced
Condition: 5 Stars
Details: This quilt top amazing. The feed sack is a hunter green paisley print and off white muslin feed sack. The “bricks” that make up the lightning bolts measure 6” long. The top is all hand pieced and lays flat. There are no tears or seam pops. We also found no stains! We only found two tiny holes on the very edge, that could be easily mended. They are in the off-white muslin bricks — photographed for reference.

Vintage Feed Sack, Bold and Colorful "Scrap Basket" Quilt TOP
Dimensions: 70” x 91”
Make: Hand & Machine Pieced
Condition: 5 Stars
Details: This quilt top is bold and is made of all cottons. The blocks measure 11“ point to point. The background is two shades of purple. The Brighter purple border is the only thing that is machine pieced and we believe is the “newer” part of the top. We personally would remove the newer border. The rest of the quilt, the whole center and the blocks, are hand pieced and lay flat (without the border). The blocks have solid-colored cottons with coordinating printed cottons, per block, which is also where the feed sack prints are. There are no tears or seam pops. We also found no stains!

Vintage Twinkling Star Block Quilt TOP
Dimensions: 70” x 89“
Make: Hand & Machine Pieced
Condition: 4 Stars
Details: This quilt top is bold and is made of all cottons. The blocks measure 9.5” across and are all hand pieced. The sashing is the machine pieced areas on the quilt. The top’s background is the sashing and sashing squares — pink on pink check & ‘chambray” blue. There are no holes or stains. There are a handful of blocks with seam pops — that could be easily mended.

Vintage ALL Flour Sack "Tassels" Toddler Coverlet
Dimensions: 43” x 43”

Condition: 5 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a VERY light weight coverlet, as it is one layer and no batting. This is all flour sack, the center sack is the cutest orange, yellow, and blue tassels. The outside frame, on all four sides is a soft-blue! This would be very similar to a cotton-linen baby swaddle. The are no holes, or seam pops! We also found no stains. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.

Vintage Bow Tie "Snowball" Quilt, Lexington MO
Make: Hand Quilted & Hand Pieced
Dimensions: 67” x 79”
SPI: 9 to 10
Condition: 4.75 Star Condition
Details: This is what we would call a lightweight quilt! The background of the quilt is white. The bow ties are set on angles, so that they create a “snowball” in the center of each block. Each block’s 4 bow ties match in fabric prints. Some of these printed fabrics are likely feed sack. The frame on all four sides is pink and so is the hand applied binding. The blocks measure 12” across. The back fabric matches in all white cotton. The back corner is signed “Lexington, MO”. There are no holes, tears, or seam pops. There is one area of faint spotting on the front — untreated. These spot/stain is the only reason for the lower rating — this is a phenomenal quilt.
