Vintage String Blocks set in Fours Quilt

Make: Hand Pieced & Hand Quilted
Stitches per inch (SPI): 6 to 7
Details: It appears to us that this quilt was made over generations. The blocks and set of 4’s are very old fabrics, definitely antique. The sashing and back fabric are vintage and completed the blocks after their original time. This is what we would call a lightweight quilt. There is no batting shift or lumps in the quilt. The string blocks are made of awesome green, blue and black fabrics — with a few other colors scattered throughout. The sashing is blue cotton, and sashing squares are pink cotton. The back fabric is white cotton blend. It is taken around to the front to create the binding, hand applied. There are no holes or seam pops. Within the string blocks there are several shatters — not falling apart but need to be mentioned. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.
