Vintage Scrappy Stripes Feed Sack Quilt

Make: Hand Pieced & Machine Quilt (Treadle straight lines)

Dimensions:‍ 71” by 80”

SPI: N/A

Condition: 5 Star Condition

Details: This is what we would call a lightweight & very thin quilt! The background is a beautiful orange. The small rectangles are 2” wide and laid out in stripes! The cotton prints and solids on the front are in a wide variety — some of which are feed sacks. The back is all feed sacks — it is amazing!! Advertising print is still highly visible, and some of the sacks say, “We recommend - White Rose Flour - for every baking need”. The binding is separate solid pink and is machine applied. The batting appears to be a very thin old quilt. There are no holes, tears, or seam pops. We found only one small spot/faint spot in a piece in the stripes. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried. Please view all pictures before buying.

History: There is no known history for this quilt.

Whippoorwill Quilts rates the quilts from 1 to 5 Stars. 1 Star is in the worst condition - 5 Stars is considered in the best condition.
