Vintage, "Maid of Honor" Clothespin Holder with Clothesline Hanger

The vintage, 3-D hoop clothespin caddie is made of red print on off white cotton. The drop for the metal hanger is 14” long. It comes with 10 vintage clothes pins. It is made to hang on the clothesline and move down the line easily as you hang items out to dry! The top of the bag also has a metal ring for structure, to hold the bag open. Such a fun and functional piece, with the ability to use it as it was initially designed for or used as a decor item in your home.
History: "Maid of Honor" clothespin bags are iconic, vintage household items, most notably produced and sold by Sears, Roebuck and Co. as part of their housewares line during the mid-20th century, particularly in the 1940’s through the 1960s. These bags were designed to hold wooden or early plastic clothespins and featured a sturdy metal hook, allowing them to slide along a clothesline while the user hung laundry. The “Maid of Honor” brand was a proprietary name used by Sears for a wide variety of kitchen and laundry products.
