Vintage Economy Block with Cobalt Blue Quilt

Make: Hand Pieced & Hand Quilted

Details: This is what we would call a medium weight quilt. There is no batting shift or lumps. The quilt is all muslin cotton. The blocks in the design are approximately 8” wide. The sashing blocks are a beautiful, cobalt blue. The back and some of the blocks are flour and feed sacks. The blocks are made out of variety of prints in an array of patterns. The back fabric is a feed sack, pale-gray-blue. It has some color changes throughout, indicating it was likely home-dyed. There are no holes, tears, or seam pops. There is some color in-consistencies in the cobalt blue and the pale blue back. there is one stain on the back. This quilt has been carefully washed and air dried.
