Incredible Vintage Friendship Quilt — REVERSIBLE

Make: Hand Pieced & Hand Quilted & Hand Embroidered

Stitches per inch (SPI): 9 to 10

Details: Certainly, our description will not do this quilt justice. This quilt is a true summer weight quilt. There is no batting shift or lumps in the quilt. The friendship blocks on the front are created from flour sack prints with a name hand embroidered in the center of each block. The wonderful names from a by-gone era, including Mabel, Alma, Ollie, Martha, Ethel, etc. include The ground is off white muslin cotton, with the same style backing. The backing is just as stunning as the front side. The backing is a whole style cloth, that is a purple floral print. Either side of this quilt would make an incredible bed! The binding is solid purple, hand applied separately. We found no holes, tears or seam pops. We did note one are of toning to the off white materials on the very edge of the quilt.
